Helpful Insights | Best Practice | Better Business Growth
Welcome to The Score.
Welcome to the inaugural issue of The Score - the number one destination for business leaders and entrepreneurs seeking success in their ventures. You’re getting this email as a current or past client of Marketing Jumpstart (or you somehow found a way to subscribe).
I’ve had a lot on my mind these past few months on how to add more value to our network, as we can feel that we’re facing a new and strange level of market uncertainty post-pandemic. With this in mind, I’m working on my one weakness - a newsletter. Well, weakness is probably the wrong word. People either love or hate newsletters, and really the purpose of this is to transfer information out of my brain into yours, which can only benefit everyone.
With all of that in mind, welcome to The Score, a monthly newsletter designed to provide helpful insight into best practices for driving growth and development in your business.
We will cover relevant news topics related to entrepreneurship, business and marketing climate so you can stay informed about what’s happening in your industry.
At Marketing Jumpstart & The Score, the belief is that everyone is worthy of access to quality information to increase their chances of success when starting or running a business. I hope you continue to join me each month as I explore all aspects of entrepreneurship!

Make Data-Driven Decisions
Data analysis is the best place to start when you want to grow your business. It doesn’t have to be an extensive complex system. You can check your previous successes as a guide and note less prosperous areas so you know what not to do in future pursuits. In one particular year, we ran 60 workshops; some were cancelled, some were successful, and some just completely exceeded expectations.
Your data analysis in your business could look like a few different things:
Check the invoices you’ve sent out for the last year.
Look back at your highest interactive post on social media.
Just plain ole asking your customers how they found out about you.
Use the keyword planner in Google Ads (it’s free) to plan your next 5 blogs for your website. Go to Tools & Settings > Planning > Keyword Planner.
Want some support analysing your market data? Book a virtual coffee chat with Ming.
Articles we’ve read this month.
What we’re reading.
I thrive off feedback; I would love to hear if this was useful or thought-provoking! The current plan is for this email to come out on the last Monday of every month. What else would you like to read more about? How can I add value to your inbox? You can email me directly here and tell me all the things!
In April, I’ll be talking about A.I. 🙂
